The Jammu and Kashmir State Legal Services Authority (Legal Aid Clinics) Scheme, 2010

Legal aid clinics are intended to provide legal relief easily accessible to the indigent and backward sections of our society. They are almost on the lines of primary health centers where a doctor and other auxiliary medical staff provide basic health care to the people situated in village areas affected with poverty and social squalor.



Jammu & Kashmir Gramin Bank

J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB), was established after amalgamation of two erstwhile Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) viz. Jammu Rural Bank and Kamraz Rural Bank in accordance with GOI notification dated 30th June 2009 issued under sub-section (1) of section 23A of the RRB Act, 1976 (21 of 1976). A new entity i.e. “J&K Grameen Bank” has come into existence and commenced its business w.e.f. 01.07.2009 as a joint venture of Government of India, Government of J&K and the Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. (Sponsor Bank) with its Head Office at Narwal, Jammu. The bank has authorized capital of Rs. 5 crore and issued, subscribed & paid up capital of Rs. 2 crore comprising of two lac shares of Rs. 100 each



Janani Suraksha Yojana

Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) is a safe motherhood intervention under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) being implemented with the objective of reducing maternal and neo-natal mortality by promoting institutional delivery among the poor pregnant women. The Yojana, launched on 12th April 2005, by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, is being implemented in all states and UTs with special focus on low performing states.



Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme

The Government of India, have merged Rural Employment Generation Programme ( REGP) with Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) and introduced a new scheme called Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) w.e.f.01.04.2008 (As such PMRY scheme is closed).



Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana (Party)

Prime Minister’s Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) for providing self-employment to educated unemployed youth has been in operation since October 2, 1993. The Scheme aimed at assisting the eligible youth in setting up self-employment ventures in industry, service and business sectors. The scheme has been modifies to enhance its coverage and scope. The modified parameters are as under.



Scheme for Empowerment of Skilled Women-2009

Sanction is hereby accorded to the implementation of the scheme titled “Empowerment of Skilled young Women-2009″ for grant of loan to women entrepreneurs,as per annexure, through J & K Women’s Developement Corporation.



Scheme of Assistance to Panchayati Raj Institution

Scheme of Assistance to Panchayati Raj Institution/Voluntary Organisations/Self Help Groups for Construction of Old Age Homes/Multi Service Centres for Older Persons.



Seed Capital Fund – Department of Labour and Employment J&K

Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS)

(Scheme under Sher-e Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for the Youth (SKEWPY) announced by Government of Jammu & Kashmir.)

To motivate, train and facilitate educated youth to take up entrepreneurship as a career option and create employment opportunities not only for themselves, but also for others.



Contributory Social Security Scheme for marginal workers

The Department of Social Welfare Department has launched a scheme”Contributory Social Security Scheme” for marginal workers to provide them social security. Under the scheme Rs. 100/- is contributed by the Govt. and equal amount by the beneficiaries and account is opened for the period of 10 years. After completion of this period the beneficiary can withdraw accumulated amount along with interest.
